Letter O, Celebrating Holi, and goodbye Teacher Romina :(

Hi Blue Room Family and Friends,

We were very excited to conclude our alphabet with our last letter, letter O. We read Dr. Seuss's book "Bartholomew and the Oobleck" and so we decided to make our own Oobleck. The children loved the way it felt and couldn't believe how it could be solid and liquid. We started with four friends at the table and four trays and then we doubled up to share the fun in exploring the Oobleck.

G and Z working together.

M was so intrigued by what would happen when she tilted the tray. R feeling the Oobleck.

The children wanted to change the color so we added green, pink, blue, and yellow.

Collaging letter O. Our last letter to complete our alphabet.

We love when our kindergarten friends visit and read books to us!

Making fresh squeeze orange juice with my friend Teacher Sandi. And thankt you to I who brought oranges from his tree at home to share

Yummy!!!

"Can we please have seconds?"

Our orange juice turned out amazing.

Our butterflies wiggled themselves out of their cocoons. R and S laughed as the butterflies walked up and down the net and dried their wings.

Blue room and Red room watched as teacher Adela let the butterflies go.

Some didn't want to go.

One wanted to play

Starting our plants with personality. Step one: G putting in the grass

Step two: J and E filling up their cups with soil packing it in to the top and then we tied a knot.

Step 3: K giving her plant with personality a bath to soak up the water

We are still currently watching them grow.

R's mom and dad came to celebrate Holi with us which is a celebration of colors. r's mom talked to us about Holi and showed us some pictures of what Holi looks like. We all got excited right away!

Everyone in their white shirts ready to go for it!

It didn't take long for the children to dig in...

I was a target for many :)

The children even mixed the colors in the water.

K and R's mom laughing and enjoying getting color on each other.

I and I were covered in purple!

Another hit was spraying color at each other and all around the play yard.

We even turned the slide purple.

Much love and color from teacher Rashida, me, and teacher Thaovy.

I think the biggest and fastest target of all was R's dad. Run....

Teacher Thaovy and G

Some of our children said that Holie was their favorite day ever. K said it was a civil wars of colors.

Thank you to R and his mom and dad! Celebrating Holi was amazing!

Thank you also to teacher Richa for getting all the different colors for us to explore with and have so much fun coloring Creative Minds play yard! Whoo-hoo!!

J, Teacher Richa, and A making dessert called Gudji. We filled them with crazins, bananas, and apples.

Taste testing time, L thought they were delicious!

Blue room saying goodbye to Teacher Romina. You are missed so very much!
