Teddy bear picnic. August 26, 2015

Yesterday was a special day with our teddy bears. They joined us for circle time songs, tasting jicama (another crop), and then ate with us at our lunch time.

All our friends wanted to dance with teddy bears. The Hokey Pokey was lot of fun with both human and furry arms and legs to dance with!

Extending our exploration of crops, Teacher Thaovy brought fresh jicama for everyone to taste. We were learning about vegetables that grow under the ground. Some of us wanted to taste this new root vegetable and see and touch it.

Gia said, " I like it."

Murtaza says "Jicama smells like egg" but "It tastes like apple."

Amelia says, "Yum" and Elena said," I like it."

Cody says, "It smells like chicken."

Paloma says, "It is cold."

Our teddy bear picnic lunch... luckily it was warm and not that hot outside today!

Some of our teddy bears are bigger than we are, but that didn't stop us from dancing together!

Thanks,
Teacher Richa
