Valentines, Birthdays, and Sweets, oh my!

Happy Valentine's Day from Blue Room!

Look at all these beautiful smiley faces. Our class is slowly growing, we now have 18, but only 16 pictured above.

For our valentines day book exchange, everyone brought a book and put it in the middle of our circle. Each child picked a number and we picked a gift in number order. This was great for the children to use their number recognition to know when it was their turn and who came next.

Who is next?

R picking his book

G picking his book

E picking her book, only three left.

All the children voted to open the books at the end when everyone had a book to open. Everyone was a good sport about the book they got. And the children were excited to see who picked the book they brought and if they liked it.

K, N, S, and P looking through their books before nap time.

We played board games, which was a special treat. S's mom helped P, Z, J, and S with Candyland.

R and L played Chutes and Ladders with L's mom.

K, A, I, and E played Sequence with A's moms. Thank you soo much to our three moms who helped our Valentines day be such a success. All of the children were so excited to play board games.

We made pink play doh for Valentines day and used cookie cutters to make heart cookies.

Z delivering his batman valentines cards to his friends.

We all sat down together as a class to enjoy a sweet treat. Thank you to I's mom for bringing cookies and to P's mom for bringing brownies.

Blue Room is one silly bunch with lots of love to share! Happy Valentine's day! The day was packed with learning, laughter, and love.

Guess who turned 5! Happy Birthday E!

E brought Transformers masks and tiaras for his friends. Sharing cupcakes with all of E's friends from blue and purple room.

Thank you to E's mom and dad for all the treats. E loves his chocolate!

The second week L was with us we were very excited to get to celebrate her 4th birthday with her. She stood up in front of her new classmates and told them about her birthday over the weekend and was crowned birthday girl and line leader for the day.

L gave all of her new friends a heart note book and a fun pencil. All of the children were super excited.

Happy 4th Birthday L! Welcome to Creative Minds, we are so excited to have you in our class!

We say goodbye to our friend C from the purple room as his family is moving down south to start a new adventure. We wish C the best of luck as he starts at his new school and thank you for bringing cookies to share with both blue and purple room. We will miss you!

Hugs,

Teacher Kristina
